Below the clouds

The Bay of Naples lives to the rhythm of Mount Vesuvius, with the ground trembling from time to time as smoke and clouds rise to cover the horizon above the Phlegraean Fields, filling the air with a heavy scent. In this space between the bay and the volcano’s crater, Gianfranco Rosi crafts a visual symphony.
